In 1974 the clubs junior section was formed by Ron Leach, his wife Anne,Dave Cadet and Mick Hyde.By the early eighties the club had junior teams aged fromtwelve to eighteen year olds, three senior teams and a county senior team.

The early high standards of behaviour, sportsmanship and fair play that Andy Wilson and his fellow founders set out to follow were rewarded recently when Brunsmeer Athletic were awarded the full F.A.CHARTER STANDARD COMMUNITY AWARD at a ceremony at Bramall Lane.
The club is still going strong and attracts youngsters as young as five and six to its academy through the age groups Under 8 to Under 16 as well as girls teams and senior team.
Literally hundreds of children have enjoyed playing for Brunsmeer over the years and still do now. We are sure future generations will do too.
