Match report

Brunsmeer arrived at Millmoor looking to keep our unbeaten run against them going and to move further up the league.
After the final whistle and a comfortable 3 0 win a few comments made for my ears i feel i must mention. BALL BOOTERS, THEY WILL BE OFF SIDE AT 11 A SIDE NEXT YEAR, WE PLAYED THEM OFF THE PARK !!! All comments from the opposition manager in his team talk at the end of the match.
Brunsmeer scored three goals today, not one would have been off side at 11 a side. Lets worry about off side next season. Brunsmeer won every 50 50 ball, Brunsmeer showed a real willing to win, Brunsmeer took their chances when they came, Brunsmeer defended with calmness and every one of our players did it with a smile.
The first game started with Millmoor showing good effort and passing. The result was a fine shot which rattled the bar. After that and a few half chances George took control of the middle of the park. Winning headers and challenges and spreading the ball about. Harry and Jack worked non stop with Tom, who took a chest knock causing all sorts of problems. Tom soon turned his man superbly to stab home the opener under the keepers body. At 11 a side it would have been on side !! Harvey had his hands full with his winger with William winning the lot. Afine save from Kian pushing a shot on to the post seemed to push us on again. This time Tom again bamboozled his marker and shot in to the corner completely wrong footing the keeper. Again it would not have been off side at 11 a side !! Brunsmeer then easily shut out Millmoor who really did not look like getting anything out of the first match.
SCORE 2 0
The second game took on a similar pattern to the first. Half chances at each end but on the whole with Max and Max looking more than comfortable at the back. A rasping shot from Millmoor rattled the bar but from then Grady had not one save to make. Dan, Liam and Oli again worked so hard they really did snuff out any oportunatey Millmoor had to play their passing game. Soon Sam broke clear and as the keeper saved it spilled to Liam to stab home. No off Side again !!! From then on as Millmoor lost their shape Sam had acres of room behind the defence. It was a great out ball for us and caused the defence major headaches. Playing mini soccer Sam had every right to get in behind his markers as their is no offside at this age. Brunsmeer were far too organised for our opponents today. I suggest that is the sign of a good team not a bad one.......
GREAT PERFORMANCE TODAY A FAR STRONGER WILL TO WIN AND TOTALLY STOPPED THE OPPOSITION PLAYING FOOTBALL. A HARD FOUGHT GAME, AS EXPECTED BUT ONE WE THROUGHLY DESERVED TO WIN. UP TO THIRD TONIGHT , MAYBE ONLY FOR A WEEK BUT IT FEELS REALLY GOOD. A PRIVILAGE TO RUN THIS BUNCH OF BOYS. NEVER EVER LET US DOWN WITH THE WORK RATE AND PLAY FOOTBALL WHEN THE GAME DICTATES WE CAN. WELL DONE THE MILLMOOR PLAYERS WHO WORKED THEIR SOCKS OFF. WE REALLY OUGHT TO BE VERY PROUD OF OUR BOYS !!
