Match report

Handsworth the league leaders arrived at Dore for what was an important game for both teams.
After yesterdays good win against Rawmarsh we were a little concerned that the boys could be heavy legged.
No need to worry............ The boys were full of running and well up for the match. George was a monster in the first match with tackles great football and a never say die attitude. He was more than backed up by Harry and William with Kian, Harvey and Luke outstanding. Tom closed down up top with Jack taking on the Handsworth defence when he came on. William worked hard and scored low into the bottom corner. George forged through with the move of the match but saw his shot go over. Handsworth scored a tap in but it could not take the shine off a great team performance.
SCORE 1 1
The second game took on exactly the same pattern to the first. Dan taking on the central midfield battle head on. Liam and Oli working hard with max and Max outstanding. Sam worked his markers superbly and on another day a thunderbolt of a shot could have gone in. Dan danced past 3 defenders to drive home a fine drive but Handsworth countered with a fine finish of their own. Then end to end football commenced. Great to watch full of effort and power from both teams and a real desire to win. As it was no further score took place but a great game it was.
FINAL SCORE 2 2
WELL, WELL, WELL, WE CAN COMPETE WITH THE SO CALLED STRONGER TEAMS. A WELL DESERVED POINT AND A SUPERB GAME. THE BOYS SHOULD BE PROUD OF THEIR EFFORT TODAY. WELL DONE EVERYONE THIS MORNING ON A REALLY ENJOYABLE SUNDAY MORNINGS FOOTBALL.
