Match report

Brunsmeer arrived at Olivers Mount on the back of our worst performance in 2 years at Hoyland last week.
Right from the off the boys looked up for it. A sloppy goal for Handsworth could not dampen the boys spirit withe the work rate second to none. A fine cross by Harvey was side volleyed home by William and a mazy run by Jack was chipped home in fine fashion. George was passing the ball around and Jack, Harry and William worked the flanks superbly. Harvey and Luke settled down well to force us forward and Kian marshalled the boys on what was a huge game for him against his old team mates. The Handsworth keeper made two worldly saves to deny Will and Jack to give the score a better look. Fantastic effort and great passing football.
SCORE 2 1
The second game started poorly with Brunsmeer giving the ball away. In this time we gave away another soft goal but rather than fold, we dug in and started to win the 50 50 balls. Max and Max sorted themselves out with Dan a real worker in the middle. Sam worked so hard and was a constant threat. Liam Oliver and Thomas worked the wings with real power and again some half chances came and went. Apart from one shot hitting the bar, Grady had very little to do but the Handsworth threat was always there.
FINAL SCORE 2 2
A FANTASTIC EFFORT BY THE BOYS TODAY. FULLY DESERVED POINT AND COULD HAVE BEEN THREE. WHEN WE PLAY LIKE THIS WE ARE A MATCH FOR ANY TEAM. WE ASKED THE BOYS TO SHOW THE TOP TEAMS HOW GOOD WE CAN BE AND THEY DID JUST THAT.
WELL DONE BOTH TEAMS, MANAGERS AND SUPPORTERS FOR A GOOD MORNINGS ENTERTAINMENT.
